Searle Company introduced the substance oxandrolone to the U.S. market in 1964 under the name Anavar and it enjoyed great popu-larity for over two decades until, on July 1, 1989, the produc-
tion of Anavar was phased out. Today Anavar is manufactured under its various generic names in only a few countries (see above). The compound with the generic name Oxandrolone SPA by S.p.A.
Milano Company (Societ‡ Prodotti Antibiotica) from Italy is the only original anabolic steroid available in Europe which contains the substance oxandrolone. There are 30 tablets in one box with two
push-through strips of 15 tablets each.
Oxandrolone is a weak steroid with only a slight androgenic component. It has been shown that Oxandrolone, when taken in reasonable dosages, rarely has any side effects. This is appreciated since
Oxandrolone was developed mostly for women and children. Oxandrolone is one of the few steroids which does not cause an early stunting of growth in children since it does not prematurely close
the epiphysial growth plates. For this reason Oxandrolone is mostly used in children to stimulate growth and in women to prevent osteoporosis.
Oxandrolone causes very light virilization symptoms, if at all. This characteristic makes Oxandrolone a favored remedy for female athletes since, at a daily dose of 10-15 mg, masculinizing
symptoms are observed only rarely.
Bodybuilders and powerlifters, in particular, like Oxandrolone for three reasons. First, Oxandrolone causes a strong strength gain by stimulating the phosphocreatine synthesis in the muscle cell
without depositing liquid (water) in the joints and the muscles. Powerlifters and weightlifters who do not want to end up in a higher weight class take advantage of this since it allows them to get
stronger without gaining body weight at the same time. The combination of Oxandrolone and 20 – 30 mg Holotestin daily has proven to be very effective since the muscles also look harder.
Similarly good results can be achieved by a simultaneous intake of Oxandrolone and 120-140 mcg Clenbuterol per day. Although Oxandrolone itself does not cause a noticeable muscle growth it
can clearly improve the muscle-developing effect of many ste-roids.
Deca-Durabolin, Dianabol, and the various testosterone compounds, in particular, combine well with Oxandrolone to achieve a “mass buildup” because the strength gain caused by the intake of
these highly tissue-developing and liquidretaining substances results in an additional muscle mass. A stack of 200 mg Deca-Durabolin/week, 500 mg Testosterone enanthate (e.g. Testoviron Depot
250)/week, and 25 mg Oxandrolone/day leads to a good gain in strength and mass in most athletes. Deca-Durabolin has a distinct anabolic effect and stimulates the synthesis of protein;
Oxandrolone improves the strength by a higher phosphocreatine synthesis; and Testosterone enanthate increases the aggressiveness for the workout and accelerates regeneration.
The second reason why Oxandrolone is so popular is that this compound does not aromatize in any dosage. As already men-tioned, a certain part of the testosterone present in the body is
converted into estrogen. This aromatization process, depending on the predisposition, can vary distinctly from one athlete to another. Oxandrolone is one of the few steroids which cannot aromatize
to estrogen. This characteristic has various advantages for the athlete. With Oxandrolone the muscle system does not get the typical watery appearance as with many steroids, thus making it very
interesting during the preparation for a competition. In this phase it is especially important to keep the estrogen level as low as possible since estrogen programs the body to store water even if the
diet is calorie-reduced. In combination with a diet, Oxandrolone helps to make the muscles har~ and ripped. Although Oxandrolone itself does not break downfat, it plays an indirect role in this
process because the substancr-often suppresses the athlete’s appetite.
Oxandr
olone can also cause some bloating which in several athletes results in nausea and vomiting when the tablets are taken with meals. The package insert of the Italian Oxandrolone notes its
effect on the activity of the gas-trointestinal tract. Some athletes thus report continued diarrhea. Although these symptoms are not very pleasant they still help the athlete break down fat and
become harder. Those who work out for a competition or are interested in gaining quality muscles should combine Oxandrolone with steroids such as Winstrol, Parabolan, Masteron, Primobolan, and
Testosterone propionate. A stack of 50 mg Winstrol every two days, 50 mg Testosterone propionate every two days, and 25 mg Oxandrolone every day has proven effective.
Another advantage of Oxandrolone’s non-aromatization is that athletes who suffer from high blood pressure or develop gynecomastia of the thymus glands when taking stronger androgenic
steroids will not have these side effects with this compound. The. Oxandrolone/Deca-Durabolin stack is a wel-come alternative for this group of athletes or for athletes show-ing signs of poor
health during mass buildup with testosterone, Dianabol, or Anadrol 50. Athletes over forty should predomi-nantly use Oxandrolone.
The third reason which speaks well for an intake of Oxandrolone is that even in a very high dosage this compound does not influence the body’s own testosterone production. To make this clear:
Oxandrolone does not suppress the body’s own hormone production. The reason is that it does not have a negative feedback mechanism on the hypothalamohypophysial testicular axis, meaning
that during the intake of Oxandrolone, unlike during the intake of most anabolic steroids, the testes signal the hypothalamus not to reduce or to stop the release of GnRH (gonadot-ropin releasing
hormone) and LHRH Luteinizing hormon releas-ing hormone). This special feature of Oxandrolone can be explained by the fact that the substance is not converted into estrogen Oxandrolone
(Anavar), when given to normal men in high doses does not reduce the seminal volume or count, nor can it be converted (aromatized) into estrogen.
Oxandrolone combines very well with Andriol, since Andriol does not aromatize in a dosage of up to 240 mg daily and has only slight influence on the hormone production. The daily intake of 280
mg Andriol and 25 mg Oxandrolone results in a good gain in strength and, in steroid novices, also in muscle mass without excessive water retention and without a significant influence on
testosterone production. As for the dos-age of Oxandrolone, 8-12 tablets in men and 5-6 tablets in women seem to bring the best results.
The rule of thumb to take 0.125 mg/pound of body weight daily has proven successful in clinical tests. The tablets are normally taken two to three times daily after meals thus assuring an optimal
absorption of the substance. Those who get the already discussed gastrointestinal pain when taking Oxandrolone are better off taking the tablets one to two hours after a meal or switching to
another compound.
Since Oxandrolone is only slightly toxic and usually shows few side effects it is used by several athletes over a prolonged period of time. However Oxandro
lone should not be taken for several
consecutive months, since, as with almost all oral steroids it is 1 7-alpha alky-lated and thus liver toxic. Oxandrolone is an all-purpose remedy which, depending on the athlete’s goal, is very
versatile. Women who react sensitively to the intake of anabolic steroids achieve good results when combining Oxandrolone/Primobolan Tabs and/or Clenbuterol, without suffering from the usual
virilization symp-toms. Women, however, should not take more than 6 tablets daily. otherwise, androgenic-caused side effects such as acne, deep voice, clitorial hypertrophy or increased growth of
body hair can occur.
Probably the largest disadvantages that come along with Oxandrolone are its high price and poor availability on the black market. Original Oxandrolone costs about $1 – 2 per tablet on the black
market and is rarely available, if at all.

Laser Hair Removal Methods
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
Laser beam targeted at hair follicles to prevent new growth. Lasers produce a high-intensity ray of pure light which gives off heat energy. The laser works by sending energy into the pigment of the hair shaft, which is absorbed by the surrounding follicle. The heat generated by this process damages the follicle and stops hair production. This energy is absorbed by different body tissues, depending on the colour of the laser beam. Millions of men and women with unwanted body hair spend countless hours on temporary hair removal methods — including shaving, waxing, applying chemical depilatories, and tweezing. Laser hair removal is an effective and proven method. Laser can be used as a medical device since it can be exactly tuned according to each patient’s type of skin, guaranteeing an effective treatment. Both men and women seek laser hair removal services to have superfluous or unwanted hair removed. Hair removal is commonly done on lip, chin, ear lobe, shoulders, back, underarm, abdomen, buttocks, pubic area, bikini lines, thighs, face, neck, chest, arms, legs, hands, and toes. Laser hair removal has become a popular choice for removing unwanted hair. Laser hair removal is a technique that makes it possible to treat rapidly and in the same session a very large area of the body, for a longer period of time and gradually deteriorating the hair.
Electrolysis, while effective, often requires years of ongoing and frequently painful treatments. Electrolysis procedure uses low-level electricity to disable, or render the hair follicles inactive. Some types of skins require specific precautions or use of a specific laser. Current hair removal lasers cannot remove light or white hair. It is imperative to stay away from the sun in the weeks preceding a hair laser removal session, since tan is a contra-indication for the treatment. Laser Facial Hair Removal in women is our number one most popular procedure at Ideal Image. With facial hair removal, the most popular treatments are for chin hair removal and removal of hair on the upper lip. Laser is attracted to dark pigment and therefore works best on pale skin and dark coarse hair. The closer you ar
e to this combination (i.e. the lighter the skin and the more coarse and dark the hair), the better the results will generally be after proper treatments. Hair removal lasers are effective treatment for pseudofolliculitis barbae (commonly called ingrown hairs or “shaving bumps”). For darker skin patients with black hair, the long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser with a cooling tip can be safe and effective when used by an experienced practitioner. People under medication must warn their doctor since some drugs can lead to reaction to light and require postponement of the laser treatment. The area to be treated must be shaved three days before the laser hair removal session.
Advantages of Laser Hair Elimination
1. Laser hair elimination is supposed to be more secure if done in a right manner and performed by skilled specialists.
2. The majority of consumers have noticed amazing results and even permanent hair elimination.
3. The treatment of laser hair elimination can be taken on the largest portions such as the legs, back and chest in one session.
4. If there is re-growth after removing hairs by laser, this will be finer and lighter in texture as compared to before.
5. Laser hair elimination can be virtually harmless while compared with electrolysis and waxing as a sources of body hair elimination.
Disadvantages of Laser Hair Elimination
1. Scientific facts and research is yet restricted and claims cannot be completely proved.
2. Laser hair removal technique is not beneficial for red, blonde and gray hair and so many other treatments may be needed.
3. Laser hair elimination is not preferred for those persons who have skin tan or darker skin tones.
4. If laser hair elimination method is not performed properly, it may cause many skin diseases such as discoloration of skin or burning of the skin.
5. The prices of using laser hair removal treatment are very high and it can be about $500 per hair elimination method.
6. One who desires to use laser hair removal treatment should be a protected eye during the process of treatment.

In this article I’ll be exploring the use of garlic for health. Nicknamed the ‘stinking rose’, this auspicious herb has been revered throughout history as a cure and natural treatment for all manor of conditions. These include mosquito bites, wounds, heart disease, measles, tumors, snake bites, acne, colds, flu and even vampires!
Garlic’s health benefits are substantiated by a wealth of modern day research that confirms its anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. It is also a powerful antioxidant and immune booster with anti-inflammatroy properties. Scientific studies reveal benefits for diabetes, cancer and heart disease. It’s heart health traits include lowering bad cholesterol and blood pressure, aiding circulation and preventing against stroke.
Garlic’s might is largely due to the sulfur compounds it contains, such as allicin. Garlic also houses vitamin C, B6, selenium, magnesium, potassium, calcium and manganese and flavonoids.
The sulphur compound allicin provides not only many of the notable benefits of garlic, but also its notorious odour. Allicin is formed during the chemistry of chopping, crushing and chewing garlic, the more thorough the milling, the more allicin is created. Allicin has antibiotic, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties, and the reason why garlic has been used for skin infections such as Athletes’s foot, herpes and warts, digestive and lung infections such as diarrhea, coughs and colds, and Candida yeast and other microbes.
Allicin begins to degrade once produced and on cooking, so eating garlic raw and soon after chopping ensures the assimilation of optimum levels of this compound.
Garlic also contains diallyl sulphides, which, whilst not anti-fungal like allicin, are reportedly good for the blood and circulation, lowering bad cholesterol and boosting the immune system.
Rats that were put on a diet featuring both allicin and diallyl sulphides had a substantial increase in their levels of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione-S-transferase. This mighty enzyme produced within the body is incredibly important in helping to rid the body of toxins, drugs and carcinogens. Increasing levels of this and other phase II enzymes may be one way garlic helps to prevent against cancer, enhancing the elimination of potential carcinogens from the body. This also makes garlic great for a natural body detox.
Garlic as Anti-Inflammatory
The sulfur compounds in garlic have been found to have anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the activity of inflammatory enzymes. Along with vitamin C this can make garlic a protection against the pain associated with arthritis and asthma attacks.
Garlic for the Heart
garlic is renowned for its abilities to lower cholesterol and blood pressure naturally and protect against heart disease and stroke. Garlic has also been found to stimulate the production of nitric oxide in blood vessels aiding their dilation, and assist the body’s ability to dissolve blood clots (fibrinolyisis).
The antioxidant properties of garlic can also protect against cardiovascular disease by inhibiting the oxidation of bad cholesterol which would otherwise build up in artery walls. Further, folate in garlic is known to protect the cardiovascular system.
Garlic for Cancer Prevention
Population studies have revealed that eating garlic regularly, along with other alliums such as onions chives and scallions, reduces the risk of oesophageal, colon and stomach cancer. This may be due to garlic’s ability to reduce the formation of carcinogenic compounds. Garlic’s sulfur compounds such as allicin and ajeone have been found to stop the growth of various cancers in animal laboratory studies, including skin, stomach, colon, breast and oral cancer. Garlic also contains the powerful antioxidant mineral selenium, known for its anti-cancer properties.
Garlic for Diabetes
Some of the damage that can result from the degenerative effects of diabetes such as diseases of the kidney, retina and nervous system, may be deterred by garlic. Rats that were given a drug that would induce similar diabetic-effects in the body, namely an increase in blood sugar, cholesterol and damaged fats and a reduction in the body’s antioxidants, experienced fewer negative effects from the drug and an increase in antioxidant levels when given a daily dose of garlic oil.
Research then, has indicated garlic health benefits against bacteria, fungi and viruses, inflammation (as with arthritis), cancer, diabetes, heart disease and high cholesterol levels.
Garlic – Natural Cure for Common Ailments
Garlic is an all round disease-preventive, and can be used as a natural treatment cure for common ailments such as acne, colds and flu, herpes and wrinkles due to its natural antioxidant and anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties. Crush a clove or two of garlic into warm water and drink twice a day though be careful on an empty stomach if you are sensitive to garlic. This also serves as a natural body detox. If your skin is not over sensitive to garlic it can also be applied directly to acne spots or herpes. I find it very effective as a cure for oral herpes (cold-sores). If you have high cholesterol level, use garlic regularly in you’re your food as this will lower your cholesterol level naturally.(obviously along with avoiding a high cholesterol diet).
To summarise…
Garlic Benefits
• Garlic boosts your immune system.
• Garlic is anti-aging, its antioxidant power neutralizing free radicals that procure aging and disease.
• Garlic helps reduce plaque build up (atherosclerotic heart disease).
• Garlic thins the blood and helps to prevent blood clots (fibrinolyisis) hence reducing the risk of strokes.
• Garlic helps to prevent cancer, particularly of the digestive system, and reduces the size and arrests the growth of certain tumors.
• Garlic lowers and regulates blood sugar levels.
• Garlic helps to remove heavy metals such as lead and mercury from the body – natural body detoxification.
• Garlic is anti-inflammatory.
• Garlic (raw, containing allicin) is a natural antibiotic and can kill even drug resistant strains of bacteria such as MRSA as well as Helicobacter pylori, the bacterium known to cause stomach ulcers and implicated in stomach cancer.
• Garlic is anti-fungal and reduces yeast infections in body parts.

Multiple Sclerosis Treatment Methods
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease and affects the central nervous system. Central nervous system is made up of nerves that act as the body’s messenger system. It damages the myelin sheath, the material that surrounds and protects your nerve cells. This damage slows down or blocks messages between your brain and your body. Multiple sclerosis (MS) usually affects woman more than men. The disorder most commonly begins between ages 20 and 40, but can strike at any age. Multiple sclerosis affects neurons, the cells of the brain and spinal cord that carry information, create thought and perception, and allow the brain to control the body. Surrounding and protecting some of these neurons is a fatty layer known as the myelin sheath, which helps neurons carry electrical signals. MS causes gradual destruction of myelin (demyelination) and transection of neuron axons in patches throughout the brain and spinal cord. The name multiple sclerosis refers to the multiple scars (or scleroses) on the myelin sheaths. This scarring causes symptoms which vary widely depending upon which signals are interrupted. Multiple sclerosis may take several different forms, with new symptoms occurring either in discrete attacks or slowly accruing over time. Between attacks, symptoms may resolve completely, but permanent neurologic problems often persist, especially as the disease advances. MS currently does not have a cure, though several treatments are available that may slow the appearance of new symptoms. MS is believed to result from damage to the myelin sheath, the protective material which surrounds nerve cells. It is a progressive disease, meaning the damage gets worse over time. Inflammation destroys the myelin, leaving multiple areas of scar tissue (sclerosis). The inflammation occurs when the body’s own immune cells attack the nervous system.
MS gets its name from the buildup of scar tissue (sclerosis) in the brain and/or spinal cord. Symptoms of MS may mimic many other neurologic disorders. Multiple sclerosis affects an estimated 300,000 people in the United States and probably more than 1 million people around the world. Signs and symptoms of multiple sclerosis vary widely, depending on the location of affected nerve fibers. MS can cause a variety of symptoms, including changes in sensation (hypoesthesia), muscle weakness, abnormal muscle spasms, or difficulty to move; difficulties with coordination and balance (ataxia); problems in speech (Dysarthria) or swallowing (Dysphagia), visual problems (Nystagmus, optic neuritis, or diplopia), fatigue and acute or chronic pain syndromes, bladder and bowel difficulties, cognitive impairment, or emotional symptomatology (mainly depression). Most peopl
e with MS also exhibit paresthesias, transitory abnormal sensory feelings such as numbness, prickling, or “pins and needles” sensations. Some may also experience pain. Speech impediments, tremors, and dizziness are other frequent complaints. Occasionally, people with MS have hearing loss. Approximately half of all people with MS experience cognitive impairments such as difficulties with concentration, attention, memory, and poor judgment, but such symptoms are usually mild and are frequently overlooked. Subsequent symptoms also include more prominent upper motor neuron signs, i.e.,. increased spasticity, increasing para- or quardriparesis. Vertigo, incoordination and other cerebellar problems, depression, emotional lability, abnormalities in gait, dysarthria, fatigue and pain are also commonly seen.
Multiple sclerosis is difficult to diagnose in its early stages. Several types of therapy have proven to be helpful for multiple sclerosis. Medications can help ease MS attacks and possibly slow the disease. The goal of treatment is to control symptoms and maintain a normal quality of life. Many patients do well with no therapy at all, especially since many medications have serious side effects and some carry significant risks. Interferon beta-1b (Betaseron) and interferon beta-1a (Avonex, Rebif) are genetically engineered copies of proteins that occur naturally in your body. They help fight viral infection and regulate your immune system. Glatiramer is synthetic medication made of four amino acids that are found in myelin. This drug stimulates T cells in the body’s immune system to change from harmful, pro-inflammatory agents to beneficial, anti-inflammatory agents that work to reduce inflammation at lesion sites. Natalizumab (Tysabri) drug is administered intravenously once a month. It works by blocking the attachment of immune cells to brain blood vessels — a necessary step for immune cells to cross into the brain — thus reducing the immune cells’ inflammatory action on brain nerve cells. During clinical trials, this drug was shown to significantly reduce the frequency of attacks in people with relapsing MS. Mitoxantrone (Novantrone) is a chemotherapy drug used for many cancers. It’s given intravenously, typically every three months. Muscle relaxants. Baclofen (Lioresal) and tizanidine (Zanaflex) are oral treatments for muscle spasticity. If you have multiple sclerosis, you may experience muscle stiffening or spasms, particularly in your legs, which can be painful and uncontrollable. Baclofen may temporarily increase weakness in your legs. Tizanidine controls muscle spasms without causing your legs to feel weak, but can be associated with drowsiness or a dry mouth.

Andriol (Ttestosterone Undecanoate) Profiles by TerePharmacy
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
Substance: testosterone undecanoate
Trade Names:
Andriol 40 mg caps.; Organon CH, NL, PL, G, A, PT HU, Thailand; Ravasin
Androxon 40 mg caps.; Organon NO, Brazil
Panteston 40 mg caps.; Organon FI, FR
Restandol 40 mg caps.; Organon DK, GB, GR
Undestor 40 mg caps.; Organon B, 5, BG, CZ
Virigen 40 mg caps.; Organon TK
Andriol is a revolutionary steroid because, besides methyltestosterone, it is the only effective oral testosterone compound. Testosterone itself, if taken orally, is ineffective since it is reabsorbed
through the portal vein (1) and immediately deactivated by the liver. The substance testosterone undecanoate contained in Andriol, however, is reabsorbed from the intestine through the lymphatic
system, thus bypassing the liver and becoming effective. The liver function is not affected by this. Andriol aromatizes only minimally, meaning that only a very small part of the substance can be
converted into estrogen, since the dihydrotestosterone does not aromatize. The users of Andriol therefore do not experience feminization symptoms such as gynecomastia or increased body fat.
Andriol’s non-aromatizing quality consists of the fact that the body’s own hormone production is only affected after a long-term administration of very high dosages. Andriol should be the perfect
steroid; however, this is not the case.
The disadvantage of Andriol is that it only becomes effective if taken in high doses. Even if a dose of 200 mg of Andriol/day is taken, the testosterone level in the blood is still too low for a
bodybuilder to gain strength and muscle growth. The capsules, therefore, are effective for only a few hours so that 6-7 capsules, that is 240- 280 mg (minimum), must be taken daily to achieve
good results comparable to those of injectable compounds. This, however, puts the athlete in a dosage range which begins to influence the hormone production and the compound now more readily
converts into estrogen. Such a dose can also manifest itself in a higher retention of sodium and water. This is one factor which competing athletes must consider.
Another disadvantage is Andriol’s high price. A package with 60 capsules costs approximately $80 and the minimum daily dose of 6-7 capsules thus costs almost $8. For those athletes who would
like to try Andriol 8 capsules (320 mg daily) should be taken. The capsules should be taken three times daily (approximately every 8 hours) after meals so that the substance can be properly
reabsorbed. However, even this high dosage does not guarantee satisfactory results. Those of you who believe that you need even higher doses should then consider that it might be more sensible
to switch to the injectable testosterone.
The Andriol/ Oxandrolone stack gives athletes who do not yet have much experience with steroids a fairly large strength increase and also often substantial muscle growth. Andriol is quickly
eliminated by the body it should also be considered for use before competitions requiring doping tests.
Women should avoid Andriol since the androgenic component-common with testosterone-is also strongly developed in this compound. Andriol intake can occasionally lead to high blood pressure,
retention of fluids, acne, sexual overstimulation, and, in women, the well-known virilization symptoms.
Andriol should be stored in a cool place (6 – 15 C), preferably in the refrigerator. Since the capsules are extremely sensitive to heat they can easily melt into an undefinable shape if left in direct
sunlight, e.g. in a car.

Selenium Deficiency
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
There are many vitamins and minerals essential to the diet that we don’t quite get enough off for some reason or other. In the case of Selenium its possible to be eating a proper diet with lots of fruits and veggies and still not get enough Selenium because it isn‘t present in high enough amounts.
Selenium enters the food cycle via plants. So it can be present in plants or meat but the amounts of Selenium in either depends on how much of the mineral is in the soil.
In some places of the world Selenium in the soil is very low, such as China. Selenium in the crops grown in China is so low that the average daily intake is around ten micrograms per person. Now we only require about sixty micrograms. To get an idea of how little of the nutrient we require in our diet compare the milligram to the microgram. There are one thousand micrograms in one single milligram! A flea weighs more than our daily requirement of selenium at ¾ of a milligram. Yet it is still possible not to get enough Selenium in your diet! There has been a connection made between low Selenium intake and health diseases.
In China a health problem called Keshan Disease has developed in those with Selenium deficiency for much of their lives. Its present particularly in women and children. Keshan Disease is signified by cardiomyopathy, which is a weakened and enlarged heart. The condition usually develops after the Selenium deficient contract a specific virus. The disease is prevented by the supplementation of Selenium to their diet in salt.
There have al
so been correlations made between cancer and Selenium deficiency. The incidence of skin cancer is higher among people who live in parts of the United States with low Selenium content in the soil. Selenium supplementation has been tested as a way of preventing the reoccurrence of skin cancer in volunteers. It didn’t reduce the chances of developing more melanomas but it did have the affect of reducing the occurrence and deaths of all types of cancers overall.
Areas with low amounts of Selenium in the soil have also been shown to have a correlation to a higher incidence of viral infections. This connection seems to include a variety of viral illnesses, from a stronger harder to fight form of influenza to peak incidences of HIV/AIDS.
Low Selenium intake can also lead to muscle cramps, goiters, recurrent miscarriage, and congenital deficiency of the thyroid hormones.
You usually don’t need to worry about Selenium deficiency if you live in an area with a wide variety of produce that comes from many parts of the world and you are a healthy individual. There are many conditions which can result in Selenium deficiency though. These are; AIDS, gastrointestinal disorders, poor nutrition, and those people receiving food intravenously.
If you do decide to supplement your diet with Selenium, remember to keep your daily intake to sixty milligrams as Selenium can be toxic in higher levels.

The ideea of best treatment in a disease is wrong, there aren’t ideally best treatments for diseases, for each person regarding the special characteristics of its disease exist some treatments which may be suitable than others. Gastroesophageal reflux also known as acid reflux is a condition in which the contents of the stomach flow back into esophagus causing the lower part of the esophagus to become inflamed and painful and the condition in which this occures is known as reflux esophagitis. Alcohol, nicotine and caffeine aggravate the acid reflux.
You are advised to give up at all bad habits and avoid fat food and sweet drinks and have some changes in your lifestyle. A gastroenterologist will perform some tests x-rays and barium examination, esophagoscopy, biopsy examination, manometry of the esophagus, the Bernstein test which deals with the level of acidity in the esophagus. Taking a team approach to care, work closely with patients’ physicians and gastroenterology specialists to provide comprehensive care.
One possible treatment is surgery performed with extra care and mini invasive with small incisions, usually patients are well and fell very satisfied because they have a quick recovery and no scars and thay are able to eat all the interdicted foods.
The patient may return to its activies in a week and the incisions heal quickly, for the first two we
eks the patient is allowed to eat only dietary. The advantages of the surgical procedure of laparoscopy are that the recovery is fast and there is no subsequent risk of stricture of the esophagus.
Complications
A complication that causes discomfort is gas-bloat which occurs because of the tightened low muscle of the esophagus which doesn’t allowed food to pass in the stomach. Doctors advise to eat small amounts of food at one meal and to chew it thoroughly.
Other treatment options are: open surgery, proton pump inhibitors drugs, diet modification. The surgery is not recommended to patients with dysmotility, pregnant women, esophageal cancer, extreme obesity. The surgeon will suggest the best possibility for each person taking into consideration its risks and benefits. In cases where the medication fails the laparoscopic fundoplication is the only solution.
Avoid eating in a stressfull athosphere and quickly have a meal once at three hours and eat small amounts of food, maintain a diet and have regular exercise and most important follow your doctor’s advice in care and treatment.
There are some easy to make recipes that may be used during the period of recovery. Proton inhibitors drugs only mask the symptoms, so what I truly recommend are natural and healthy recipes. Acid reflux can be healed with herbs, meditation, exercise and diet, health store items.

Why do doctors need cancer staging?
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
Generally after a patient starts to accommodate with the idea that he has cancer he will begin to wonder how many years will he live more and what treatment is suitable and available for him. The doctor will be asked about this and he will be able to give an answer to the patient only after staging the cancer.
Staging the cancer refers to determining the cancer’s evolution, to see how much of the organism has been affected by this disease. It is of no importance in the process of staging the type of the cancer: lung, colon, rectal, etc; the cancer is staged by predetermined criteria and this is applied to all types of cancer.
The TNM staging is one of the most important ways of staging the cancer. Every year, the American Joint Committee on Cancer gathers its members and during a conference they talk about each cancer type, about researches, and new treatment possibilities for cancer. They also establish the details of staging the cancer for each type of cancer.
The T category determines how much the cancer has spread in the affected organ and if other organs have been affected by cancer too.
The N category refers to the lymph nodes and shows whether they got affected or not by the disease.
The M category shows whether metastasis is present in different areas of the body.
The colorectal cancer is a disease which affects the layers of the colon or of the rectum totally or partially, depending on the evolution of the cancer. The layers of the colon from the inside to the outside are: the mucosa, the submucosa, the muscularis propria, the subserosa and the serosa.
The T category shows how much the layers of the colon have been affected by the cancer.
Tx refers to the fact that the information is insufficient and so the cancer’s evolution can not be determined.
Tis: it means that the cancer has affected only the mucosa and is also known as carcinoma in situ.
T1: the cancer has affected the mucosa and the submucosa too.
T2: the cancer has extended to the muscularis propria.
T3: the cancer has passed through the muscularis propria and has reached the subserosa.
T4: the cancer has affected all the colon’s layers and it is spreading o the nearby organs.
The N category shows if the lymph nodes are affected and how many of them are in this situation.
Nx refers to the fact that the information is not sufficient for determining the lymph node involvement.
N0: it means that no lymph nodes are affected yet.
N1: the cancer has affected 1 to 3 local lymph nodes.
N2: the cancer is found in more than 4 local lymph nodes.
The M category shows whether the cancer has spread to other organs like lungs, liver or distant lymph nodes.
Mx refers to the fact that the information is incomplete and so there can not be determined whether the cancer has given metastasis or not.
M0: it means that no metastases are present.
M1: it means that metastasis can be seen.

Originally conceived over twenty years ago, penile traction devices are designed to treat Peyronie’s disease, defined as an abnormal curvature of the penis. More recently this same medical technology has become increasingly popular as an alternative method to enlarge the penis. Traditionally, these types of extenders use spring tension to apply the traction force and use either a silicone band or strap to hold the penis in place. The method of fixation is often the main, sometimes only, difference between many popular types of penis extenders. The type of extender that includes the silicone band is sometimes referred to as the “classical” extender since the simple design has often been imitated. Since the rigidity of the silicone band has been known to cause discomfort for some men the development of the silicone strap was an innovation hailed as the “modern” extender. The strap system has gained much popularity in the enlargement community due to the fact that many men find it to be a more comfortable alternative to the band. Since many men often wear penile extenders for hours at a time, comfort and blood flow to the penis are the most important factors they have to consider. The one indisputable fact that scientific research and common sense can agree on is that all men are not created equal. Depending on factors ranging from penis shape to skin type, each individual will have to find the method that is best suited to their own body. While the classical and modern fixation methods are both considered very effective, there is no reliable way to determine which method best suits a particular individual. Penis shape, foreskin, and skin sensitivity are all important factors to consider when finding the best method of fixation to use.
Recently there has been a new development that gives more flexibility and choice to many male consumers. Now a new traction based extender that incorporates both the classic and modern designs has been unveiled. The patent pending design was researched and tested by X4 Labs Inc., a Canadian firm, and has now been approved for retail distribution worldwide. This new design, referred to by the manufacturer as a Hybrid Support System is a major improvement over other models that tend to have a one size fits all approach to penis enlargement. With the creation of this new Hybrid Support System men now can choose for themselves which method of fixation is best suited to their particular body type. Since many men are unfamiliar with penile extenders it can be difficult to know what type will be the most comfortable and efficient without getting the chance to try it out. The X4 extender marks a major advancement that has been long overdue. Men now have the chance to decide for themselves if the silicone band or strap is the right choice for their needs, without the need to first try out the product. While both the strap and band both have the backing of medical experts and professionals, there is still only one way to know which method best suits the individual and that is to try them both and see which one they prefer.

Shingles is virus infection. Virus name is varicella herpes zoster. Herpes zosteris same virus in Chicken Pox .Chicken Pox is very common in children mainly of age group between 1 to 10 years. Initially, red patches of rash develop into blisters. The first sign of shingles is often burning or tingling pain, or sometimes numbness or itch, in one particular location on only one side of the body. Sometimes, however, the rash can lead to a debilitating complication called postherpetic neuralgia. This condition causes the skin to remain painful and sensitive to touch for months or even years after the rash clears up. Shingles erupts along the course of the affected nerve, producing lesions anywhere on the body. The most common areas to be affected are the face and trunk, which correspond to the areas where the chickenpox rash is most concentrated. There is usually a line of eruptions running from the spine along the path of the affected nerve on one side of the body. Early signs of shingles are often vague and can easily be mistaken for other illnesses. The condition may begin with fever and malaise (a vague feeling of weakness or discomfort). Within two to four days, severe pain, itching, and numbness/tingling (paresthesias) or extreme sensitivity to touch (hyperesthesia) can develop, usually on the trunk and occasionally on the arms and legs. VZV remains as a symptomless infection in the dorsal root ganglia of the spinal cord. It may or may not become active again, that is, begin reproducing, later in life. Reactivation occurs more often in older people, probably as a result of decreased immune response with age.
Shingles is an infection of the central nervous system. Shingles cannot be passed from one person to another. Some possibilities caused of shingles is stress, fatigue ,weakened immune system ,Injury of the skin where the rash occurs and cancer. Shingles’ symptoms may be vague and nonspecific at first. In the United States, there are an estimated 1 million cases of shingles each year. Shingles can lead to pneumonia, hearing problems, blindness, brain inflammation (encephalitis) or death. For about 1 person in 5, severe pain can continue even after the rash clears up. People with shingles may experience numbness, tingling, itching, or pain before the classic rash appears. In the pre-eruption stage, diagnosis may be difficult, and the pain can be so severe that it may be mistaken for pleurisy, kidney stones, gallstones, appendicitis, or even a heart attack, depending on the location of the affected nerve. The Outbreak The pain can be mild to severe. Blisters then form and last from one to 14 days. If shingles appears on your face, it may affect your vision or hearing. The pain of shingles may last for weeks, months or even years after the blisters have healed. The rash develops into fluid-filled blisters that then collapse, forming small ulcers. These dry out and form crusts. The risk of getting shingles increases as a person gets older. People who have medical conditions that keep the immune system from working properly, like cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), or people who receive immunosuppressive drugs, such as steroids and drugs given after organ transplantation are also at greater risk to get shingles.
Treatment for shingles is primarily with antiviral drugs. Early treatment with medicines that fight the virus may help. The shingles virus can be treated with antiviral medication. Apply cool tap-water compresses to weeping blisters for 20 minutes several times a day to soothe and help dry the blisters. Shingles that affects the eyes requires antiviral therapy and urgent referral to an ophthalmologist. Several medicines, acyclovir (Zovirax), valacyclovir (Valtrex), and famciclovir (Famvir), are available to treat shingles. These medications should be started as soon as possible after the rash appears and will help shorten how long the illness lasts and how severe the illness is. The treatment of post-herpetic neuralgia can involve painkillers, capsaicin cream and, if necessary, specific antidepressants. The pain associated with shingles, and with the postherpetic neuralgia that may linger (especially in older patients, after the condition has otherwise resolved), is best treated using combination therapy based on antivirals, antidepressants, corticosteroids, opioids (morphine), and topical agents (applied directly to the skin). Do not scratch. This may increase the risk of secondary bacterial infection and scarring. Keep the area clean with mild soap and water. Application of petroleum jelly can aid in healing. Wear loose clothing to avoid extra pain from clothing rubbing against the rash. Avoid close skin-to-skin contact with others who have not had chickenpox, are ill, or who have a weakened immune system.
Ayurvedic Home Remedies for Shingles Tips
1.Make a paste from turmeric powder. Apply the paste to affected areas of the skin for pain relief and to speed healing.
2.Crush two aspirin, mix them with 2 tbsp rubbing alcohol, and apply the paste to lesions three times a day. This will provide relief by desensitizing the nerve endings.
3. Mix 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar with 2 cups of water. Moisten a clean cotton face-cloth with this solution. Wring slightly and rub affected area with the moist towel upwards towards the heart after the shingles attack subsides and the blisters dry up. Repeat this procedure for an hour daily, as needed.
4. Dust colloidal oatmeal powder on the parts of the body where clothes rub against your skin. This may reduce pain.
5.Apply aloe vera gel, raw honey, or fresh leek juice over the rash several times a day. You can also use hydrogen peroxide on infected blisters
6.A gel made from licorice root appears to be an excellent topical application.
