If you’re trying to gain muscle mass and quickly at that, there’s one teeny tiny mistake you can be doing right now that can literally “zap” your hard earned muscle gains into thin air.
What’s this teeny tiny yet commonly seen mistake called – one word “Cardio”, but to be more specific “Excessive Cardiovascular Activity”. Now don’t get me wrong “cardio” has its place and should definitely be in your workout routine whether you’re trying to gain muscle mass or not.
Before I tell you why you should limit your cardiovascular activity, let me tell you why you “need” cardio.
One of the major benefits of Cardio (Cardiovascular activity) is that it helps build a stronger heart, which is extremely important when you’re putting your body through strenuous activity like weight training to gain muscle mass for example. Cardio also helps prevent heart disease and several other serious and potentially fatal heart related issues.
Now with that said, here’s why you want to stay as far away from “excessive cardiovascular activity” as possible.
By “excessive cardiovascular activity”, I’m referring to activities like long distance running, swimming, cycling – basically anything that’ll raise your heart rate for long periods of time.
And it’s simply because “cardio” especially “excessive cardio” like running, cycling and swimming for long periods of time (anywhere from an hour and up) you’re going to burn way too many “valuable” calories. And when you’re trying to gain muscle mass, calories are extremely important.
Why? – Because calories is basically “fuel” for the body.
Now take a guess at what happens when your body starts to run out of calories to burn (low on fuel) because you burned it all up doing “excessive cardio”. It starts to break down the protein in your body for energy. And do you know where most of the protein in your body is found – the same muscles you’re trying to gain muscle mass with.
So basically if you’re constantly performing “excessive cardio” and you don’t consistently replenish the calories you’ve just burned, your body will eventually break down the protein found in your muscles (basically eat away at your muscles) as its source of energy. And thereby “zapping” your hard earned muscle gains into thin air.
So if you’re trying to gain muscle mass try to stay away from excessive cardiovascular activity like running, swimming, basically anything that’ll push your heart rate up for extended periods of time. But if for some reason you have to (maybe you’re on a sports team of some sort for example) make sure you intake the amount of calories you burn and then some. Simply to make sure your body doesn’t try to eat away at your muscle mass that you worked hard for as its new source of energy.
So remember when you’re trying to gain muscle mass, “excessive cardiovascular activity” is not your friend.

It may be a good option to let the one who will use it design the ramp if the person who will design it does not have enough experience with ramps and knowledge of the design guidelines. Fortunately today, cluelessness in ramp creation is declining. The Most Intense Set You Can Do

Bodybuilders thrive to make each workout more intense than the previous workout; they try to add weight, or reps, cut down on the rest time between sets, or even increase the total number of sets.
In an effort to increase the intensity of their workout bodybuilders have employed methods like 21’s, continuous tension, pre-exhaust sets, superset, giant sets and the one I dread the most the forced reps!
I have read articles by a number of athletes about a method of increasing intensity call the Drop Sets. One bodybuilder said that this method would develop the best muscle gains. Brave words and I would argue with him except I think he may be correct. However I have a twist to conventional drops that if done correctly YOU Will Get Huge! No drugs needed!
Now before I go into this method of increasing the intensity I want to address why I never do forced reps. I am one of the few bodybuilders that can work out without a partner, because I never need a spot. You see when the weight gets so heavy that I “Think” I can’t do another rep, I put it down.
No, that does not make me a wimp it make me injury free, there is a big difference. This is why I never do forced reps, or any other method to complete failure. I don’t have anything against systems like HIT or any of the other system that take you past failure. I just don’t use them. Remember Dorian Yates did wonderful with High Intensity Training, but he was always injured and I don’t know this as fact but that may have been the reason for his abbreviated career. Because I won’t do forced reps, or high intensity training, this method works so well at developing huge muscles without injury.
Now Lets talk about how this thing works. When we put a muscle under stress from say doing a bicep curl, we employ a number of muscle fibers. As these muscle fibers become exhausted we reach a point of momentary failure. By decreasing the weight, you can go pass that point of failure employing new muscle fibers that would not have been contracted at the original weight. Now this process continues until your muscles are fully engorged with blood.
Wait a second
You see going from a heavy weigh to a light will cause faster twitch muscle to fire, but going from light to heavy will cause both, so both hypertrophy and Hyperplasia are the end results.
Here is how to cause deep muscle fiber contraction
Rather than doing 2 drops (using 3 different weights) do 3 or use 4 different weights. The heaviest weight you rep range should be 6-8 the next heaviest 8-12 the next 12-15 and the lightest weight 25 reps or more. I sometimes do as many as 40 reps with the lighter weight at the start of the workout.
Here is what one set should look like;
you get the lightest weight say a 40lb dumbbell and you do 25 reps or more with that weight ad move to the 50lb dumbbell doing 12 to 15 reps, adding weight to 60lb doing 8-12 reps and finally going to 70lb and doing 6 to 8 reps.
You a little past half way no; Return to the 60’s and remember your goal is 8 to 12 reps, the 50’s and with a goal of 12 to 15 reps and the 40 with a goal of 25 reps or more.
Now because you start of with such a light weight you no longer have to do a warm up the 25 to 40 reps should be warm up enough.
How much weigh should I use?
Simple start with the weight that you normally use for 8 -12 reps with some difficulty on the first set, that will be your heaviest weight, and select weight down from there three drops.
Finally some rules to doing Railroads.
· Keep rest intervals to a minimum less than 10 seconds
· Set up equipment in advance so that some skinny dude in the gym doesn’t take your 40’s for himself.
· Use Railroads sparingly as a high intensity method.
o You can use railroad for any body part but the larger movements like bench you need two lifting partners. Don’t railroad on bench press squats or any heavy compound movement without two lifting partners.

Non- Hodgkin lymphoma is a type of cancer that has been always associated with many risk factors. However, many of the non- Hodgkin lymphoma do not actually have any risk factors and moreover, the cause of the lymphoma is unknown.
Almost always we inherit from our parents the good and the bad. There are many people with certain cancer type who have mutations of their DNA, which they have inherited from their parents. However, studies have shown that non- Hodgkin lymphoma is not one of these cancer types. That is to say that if one of yor parents or even both suffer from lymphoma, there is no increased risk of you suffering from lymphoma as well. So one major risk factor in cancer cases, inheritance, has been removed from this equation. Furthermore, scientists say that the mutations that happen in your DNA and are related with this lymphoma type actually happen after you are born and they can not be inherited.
Things that are known for certain in non- Hodgkin lymphoma is that often the mutations that result in this disease are the result of exposure to chemicals that cause cancer, to radiation or are the result of infecti
on. However, in most of the lymphoma cases, these mutations actually appear for no particular reason. Age seems to play a role in non- Hodgkin lymphoma. Studies show that as we grow older we tend to develop this type of cancer. The reason is, however, still unknown. The only thing that scientists can say is that most of the lymphoma patients are older people.
Another known cause of lymphoma is translocation of your DNA. Translocations mean that one of your chromosomes breaks off and attaches itself to another chromosome. Somewhere along this process an error can occur that ultimately leads to lymphoma. The genes that suppress cancer can be, by mistake, turned off and thus you can develop lymphoma or the genes that are responsible for cancer can be turned on. These two are though to be the most common lymphoma causes.
Many more studies are taking place as we speak, because there has to be more to lymphoma than we know. Some new discoveries have been made that hopefully will lead to a better understanding of lymphoma, its causes and thus will to the development of a new, more efficient and less expensive lymphoma treatment.

Bronchitis is better understood if one knows what is the anatomy of the respiratory system, especially the airways. These are air passages. The throat and the mouth are the beginning of the airway system, then come the bronchi, bronchioles and last the alveoli, which healp the oxygen get into your bloodstream.
Children are more affected by infections of those parts, including bronchitis. In the majority of children, bronchitis is the cause of a viral infection. The treatment in such cases of bronchitis should only be rest, plenty of fluid and a lot of love. The reason why many doctors prescribe antibiotics in cases of bronchitis in children is not already known. Antibiotics are known for treating a bacteria, but in almost ninety of the bronchitis cases this is not the case. A viral infection is the cause of bronchitis, not a bacteria. In adults, especially the one that smoke, things are a little different. Because of the smoke, their bronchi are already damaged and a bronchitis due to a bacteria infection is more probable. Even in these cases, bronchitis will not be treated with antibiotics until you have coughed for at least one to two weeks. So in children, antibiotics should not be a treatment for bronchitis.
There is not very much material on cases of bronchitis in children, because of the fact that there are not many things to say. The cause of the bronchitis is almost always a virus and there are no bronchitis complications when children are involved. They will experience a lot of coughing when suffering from bronchitis, but children recover on their own from bronchitis. The same viruses that give a child a runny nose are also responsible for bronchitis. So in cases of bronchitis in children there is not much to do to prevent it. What is done to prevent a cold, a flu can also be done in cases of bronchitis.
When you get bronchitis, the bronchi are infected by a virus. This ifection causes swelling and the production of much mucus than in normal cases. The main bronchitis symptom is cough. You can also feel some pain when coughing if you have bronchitis. If children are exposed to smoke from tobacco, they are more at risk of developing bronchitis. Because this smoke irritates the airways, they are more sensitive and thus bronchitis is more at home.
